Keeping it short
The time spent during the recruitment process can sometimes be underestimated. It is only when a search is undertaken, that the true scale of what goes into a successful search is understood.
From sifting through CVs, often many that are not relevant to the job role itself, identifying relevant candidates and shortlisting, qualifying each CV; making contact and generating interest in the role, through to managing diaries and arranging meetings, it can be quite an arduous and painstaking process.
Competition is also a key factor, as more and more we are seeing companies from similar sectors, vying for the services of candidates with similar backgrounds.
